Time Requirements

Overview

Select states mandate that time be tracked for credit to be awarded. Currently, these states include Arkansas, California, Minnesota, North Carolina and Washington for Prelicensing, in addition to Louisiana and Minnesota for Continuing Education.

Course Timer

In courses that require that time is recorded, the timer is displayed in the top right-center of the screen in HH:MM:SS format. The course timer must reach zero before the certification exam can be unlocked, and thus the course can be completed. For California, no certification exam is required, but the time must still be exhausted prior to submitting the affidavit. The timer will count down while actively viewing course content, taking quizzes, and doing activities. If the page remains idle while viewing content for approximately 10 minutes or longer, the course session will pause and will cease to record further time towards your time requirement.
